Faculty Honors and Awards

During the 2005-2006 academic year, Judith Stacey was a Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation, in New York City, where she worked to complete a book on patterns of gay male intimacy in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2006 she shared findings from her work at the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Study and Conference Center, in Bellagio, Italy.

In the spring of 2006 Anne Rademacher was granted a University Research Challenge Fund award, which will support her work on the project “Emergency Environments: Migration, Ecology and Urban Territory in Kathmandu.”

Throughout 2006-2007, Phillip Brian Harper will hold a fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies. He will devote the year to completing a book on the critical potential of abstractionist aesthetics in African-American culture.
